Why the iPad will be a hit with consumers.

Most of the tech journalists I have read are dismissing the new Apple iPad as a big iPod touch and too simple to really be a netbook replacement. I want one to be a great couch or secondary computer. It fits my needs and will be wonderful for the way I use my current MacBook and iPhone. Additionally, three of my coworkers have already asked me about the iPad and plan on buying one to use as Apple intended, a netbook. I think that among geeks the iPad might not be very sucessful. However, among the normal consumer I think they have a hit.
